Brush up your Watercolour Techniques
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
1st, 2nd and 3rd August 2008.
This workshop will give you the opportunity
to refresh your watercolour techniques and skills.
We will be exploring colour mixing and the different pigment/water
ratios required for various techniques from laying washes
through wet into wet to dry brush. You will then practise
and use these skills for completing your paintings. We will
further develop our skills with such techniques as observing
and painting negative shapes, looseness, and the minimal use
of the brush. Again we will use a number of these skills for
completing further paintings.
This course is ideal for experienced artists who perhaps realise
the need to regularly brush up their skills and can also be
used by beginners as an introduction to watercolour painting
techniques.
Fee for the 3 days: £125.00
This workshop is fully
booked. If you would like to be informed of any cancellations

The Perspective of Buildings and Figures in Street Scenes
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
5th, 6th and 7th September 2008.
Figures and perspective often prove a problem
and these will be well addressed over the three days of this
course. Tony will explain a simple method of understanding
perspective with practical examples in the village. He will
also demonstrate an easy and effective way of depicting figures
with the minimum of brush strokes. Figures enhance a street
scene by adding life, but they need to be in scale and also
conform to the rules of perspective. All will be revealed
on this course.
Fee for the 3 days: £125.00
